@@slareau I just had my 6 week check in with my doc (6 weeks on Monday) and he said it's normal to be anywhere from 500-800 cals a day and between 40-55g of Protein a day. He and my nutritionist both agree that Protein from food is where its at and not to worry about shakes or drinks anymore. It's also unrealistic to give a goal of 60g a day when we're eating so few calories.

Breakfast - fage plain greek yogurt; 1oz of flaxseed and a tsp of honey

lunch - 4oz of salmon and some sauteed spinach

dinner - homemade meatball, sashimi, salmon, tilapia, sweet potato mash

snack - string cheese but my doc recommended a slide of roast beef or turkey or any deli meat instead

Nutritionist recommended snacking on Peanut Butter, a 1/4 green apple or cucumber to help with acid.

Hi. I'm almost 4weeks out. Had surgery 10/29/14. Highest weight 305, surgery weight 297, current weight 273.6. I had no problems post-op, no pain. I only had gas the day of my surgery. I'm frustrated because since surgery I've only lost 11#. This is day 3 on soft/puréed foods. I seem to tolerate the foods well, just not much at a time. For the last week I've been feeling really tired. And I'm constipated, lol

@"peekaboo" I had my two week checkup already. I don't go back for 3 months. I did try MOM. It worked, a little too well lol! I think part of my problem is Water retention. Before surgery I was on lasix, but they took me off it because it might cause dehydration.

Ladybug, I think I retain Fluid too but haven't been on any meds for it. So I guess you lost a couple pounds after MOM :-)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
