Before my journey started I wore size 24 pants, sometimes I could get in a 22 but they were a snug fit. Seven months later, today, I am in between a size 18 and 16. The 18’s are a little big and the 16’s won’t button yet. I will get into those 16’s soon. I went on a 3 mile walk this morning and thought about those dang 16’s that I will be in within weeks. A size 16 is my goal for the end of October. I think I can…I think I can. : )

Hey lap band evelyn,

I am right there with you. Im taller that you but started in a 24 and now my 18's are a little loose. Maybe we can motivate one another to hit the 16 mark by the end of October. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still hoping for the 18's. I have a full wardrobe at that size. I don't remember leaving it behind. Sure will be nice to return. 16 will be next. 14 would be a miracle.

Hey Evelyn, I squeezed in a pair of 16s over the weekend. They were snug but i didnt have to lay on the bed to fasten them lol. How are you doing?

Congrats! I'm so close. I thought I'd try the 16's next week after a few more miles of walking. :D

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
