Any Help?

If you are limited to shakes like I was, there's not much you can do. You're going to be hungry and tired and weak. And you're probably going to get bad headaches a day or two into it. Hang in there, though. Even though it seems like eternity now, two weeks isn't really that long.

Drinking a lot of Crystal Light kept me full and helped me get started on the pre op liquid diet. chicken broth was good for the same reason.

You will be surprised how much this helps with feeling hungry.

Also, when you see the weight start coming off you will really be encouraged. I did not notice the weight loss until I started getting on my treadmill every day for 30-45 min along with the liquid diet.

:)

What shake are you drinking? I am currently doing 2 shakes a day to lose my pre-op weight and I found that it really depends if I am hungry afterwards on the shake. I love premier Protein shakes they fill me up.

Drink Water in between shakes and after 3 hours have another because even if you have 5 you will be under calories ! And you can blend them with lil extra fruit and yogurt or extra Protein right ? Fruit and yogurt with extra scoop of protein keeps me full for several hours but it's more calories :)

I start my pre-op diet tomorrow. I am only doing it for 10 days because that is all there is between now and my big day. My diet is 2 shakes plus 2 lean cuisines, keep your calories between 950 and 1050. I think that is pretty Spartan with my unsleeved stomach but I am so pysched and motivated that I will do whatever it takes,, one day at a time.

My coping strategy is I am planning on going to bed early because night-time is when I usually do the most of my excess eating. I really hate that I need such a severe strategy but I know it works from previous attempts. and "works" is what I need.

Day 4 of the preop diet. I am on 2 shakes and 2 frozen dinners (think lean cuisine). Yesterday was really tough and I ended up going to bed really early. Today is tough too because I work in a high stress environment. So today I went for a little walk on lunch just to feel a little better, which worked for a while. Now I will push the Water down even though I am floating and try to hang on until 4pm snack. I can do this! I am determined to do this so I keep on plugging. Bring on the sleeve!

Wow I've lost 18 pounds on the first week of my PREOP, today I've got the last clearance from my primary DR so in 7 days I'll have surgery. I think that at this pace I'll lose at least 10 more pounds for a total of 28, and I've just even started. So hopefully I've lost a lot of weight for Christmas time when I go on vacation. Well I'll keep you posted.

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
