  8. Sometimes I cry but then I think about the 50 pounds I've lost. Food is fuel. ...I say that a lot. It's not meant to fill a void or celebrate. We use food for all the wrong things. I don't mind the portions but I miss pop even though I rarely drank it. It's a roller coaster ride but it's about getting healthy fir life. My doc said I'll most likely be under 300 by the new year. That excites me!!!!
  9. It's crazy how much our minds need to be rewired. I'm 4 weeks out and having cucumber and boneless chicken thigh. Nestea zero is great and flavored water. I make home made soups. I've had 1 slice of toast. Potatoes are fine. It's hard cause I fill up on protein and it's all I focus on.
  10. I'm on pantoprazole. ..30 days. Doc hoping I'm good after that. I stopped taking for a couple days cause I thought I was fine after first week but I quickly found I needed to start taking it again. I'm just horrible taking meds. Good news is I'm off my blood pressure meds already!

  12. I still just can't seem to drink protein shakes. I can make a shake and drink some but pre made is gross. I'm 19 days now and I can eat canned chicken breast 1/4 cup with fat free mayo. I'm make beef and veggies soup right now. I add BenePROTEIN to everything. Jello. Soup. Mashed potatoes. I love cottage cheese!
  13. I ordered BenePROTEIN from well.ca. free shipping. I'm in calgary too. Message me anytime. I just had surgery Oct 16th.

  16. As you start puree and mushies then solids you will fill up more but that's so great that you can get in all you need. I'm still struggling with protein and fluids. Now that I can have cottage cheese, egg and chicken salad it is easier but just getting to 60 grams is hard and I'm to aim for 80.... you are doing great!
  17. Go for a walk. I used to smoke outside do walking was my best new tool to deal with stress. I took up painting too.
  18. It is a hard habit to break. I drank so much during meals and in between. Now I find I am focusing on trying to get my protein and not drinking enough at all. I went to my first personal trainer session though and drank half my water bottle during my 1 hour. I was impressed.

  20. I am struggling. I only quit a few days before surgery but I'm not smoking since surgery. I'm craving though. I can't believe how many smokers are in my life. I don't want to anymore. It mind over right???
  21. I don't think you are over eating at all! You're sleeve will tell you for real when ur done or what you can't handle. I was sleeved October 16th so I'm not an expert but eggs just got introduced and I can do egg salad but not scrambled eggs. I had my first oh no I might vomit feeling from scrambled...I've had some beefaroni and even beef chunky soup. We have such small portions and as long as we focus on protein and liquids we will rock this! Don't weigh weekly. Just focus on learning how to work with ur new stomach. It's like being a baby. You got this!
  22. Hi everyone. I was sleeved October 16th in calgary. I'm already adding chicken and mashed up rutabaga and potatoes. Cottage cheese and oatmeal are great and I can do 3/4 cup to a cup of soup per meal. Pudding and Popsicles for snacks. I will try an egg this weekend and moist fish. Some things like yogurt or tomato soup run thru me. I'm adding BenePROTEIN to everything to get my protein and boost has fruit juices with protein that I sip on. I do have headaches so something is off but I'll figure it out. I'm 10 pounds down since surgery. 40 pounds since prep op start 1 month ago. Loving this new stomach!
