I dont know skinny

Recommended Posts

I have been heavy my whole life. I have read stories of being skinny then gaining weight after high school. I don't know skinny I hope I like it. I am two days away from changing my life. I truly believe the benefits (meaning cormobidities) out weigh the risk of the surgery. I am terrified of complications & regret.

I hear you. Im in the same boat. My doctor guaranteed that I would be 165lbs a year from after my surgery, as long as i follow the rules. I was that when I was 14. I cant wrap my head around that. The two people that I know have had it wish they would of done it sooner. Its going to be great! Look forward to how aeesome you will look and feel in a few months!! Good luck!

I had a RNY operation 16 months ago. Before surgery, I had diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, frequent urination and several bouts of major heartburn. Now that is gone. Most of it disappeared days after surgery and hasn't returned. I lost 20 pounds pre-op and 90 post-op. I am now at 150 pounds.

The most surprising thing was that I found it very enjoyable replacing my wardrobe. I am an excellent bargain shopper. I bought the latest styles and the best brands and I look good in them. I went from a size 3X in shirts down to a size small. I went down from a size 46 in pants to a size 33.

If you undergo bariatric surgery, there are many changes ahead and many of them are very good.

That is good to hear. A size small wow. I cant even remember a size large. Yes my doctor said 160 to 170 is my goal. Im going to have to lose over a 150 pounds. I think I weighed 200 pounds in high school. Reading the comments are helping me cope with what lies ahead of me. Have you guys tried the Isopure clear Protein?

Welcome to the beginning of a new wonderful journey.

I am one year out from surgery and I no longer have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, problems holding my bladder.

I only have three meds left and those are for depression and I'm slowly going down on those too.

I feel great and I've never been in shape like this before.

I think I know weigh what I weighed in Jr. High.

I was also overweight or obese until now.

I have fibromyalgia, osteo arthritis, stenosis of the spine, and RSD. All have improved due to the surgery. I now have an easier time coping with them.

You IMO will be very pleased with yourself as you get into your journey.

Good luck with your surgery and welcome to a healthier life.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
