I'm having the hardest time ever on this liquid diet. I feel hungry, depressed and having second thoughts on having the surgery. The broth is nasty. I can handle the shakes just can't drink a lot. even before I never was a person that constantly drink. Maybe tomorrow will be better

I'm struggling too... I'm not too terribly hungry, I'm just exhausted and have a headache. I guess I anticipated it, but it still stinks. I'm on day 2/14. My surgery is scheduled September 30th.

Tonight I wanted to feel a bit fuller than I did earlier in the day. I boiled 1 lb. carrots (not peeled, to leave the fiber), and 1 onion in a large container of chicken bouillon + a medium-sized can. I pureed it in the blender and added juice and rind of 1 orange, then added salt and cinnamon to taste. By the time I ran it through the blender, it had cooled somewhat and wasn't too hot to add the Protein powder. I put enough of the puree in a large Soup bowl and added a scoop of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup Protein Powder. Whew! Feel better.

There's plenty left for tomorrow.

I'm on day 3. My surgery is September 30 as well. I asked my nutritionist can I have food, she replied with a salad with vinegar only or fresh cut vegetables. I don't know if this will help you a little... wishing us all good luck with liquid diet

Hang in there, the first 2 to 3 days are the hardest keep your eye on the prize! Headaches are common as your body goes thru a detox period of sugar and carbs. A cup of warned low sodium fat free chicken broth will help with that a lot... best of luck this is only a small step in a long journey!

Thanks. I'm so glad that there are many others who have been attempting to try other meals. Counting calories and my other techniques are useful. I have created a diet journal to record my journey to a healthier life..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
