Sleevers 15th September to 21st September Check in

Recommended Posts

My surgery was on Monday at 4pm. So far that has been the hardest part. I really feel ok. Lots of bloating and gas. I read somewhere to bring gas x with you and that has helped. I am getting sick of the clear liquids but I only have a few more days until full liquids. This is much easier than I thought it was going to be. I do sleep during the day and it's been hard to get as much Fluid in as they want you to, but I just do my best.

I also started walking around my block the day I got home from the hospital. I think that has helped too!

Very exciting! Good luck to all.

I got on the scale today and it said that I had gained 7 pounds. How this is possible I don't know. I have been following the Clear Liquids to a fault and I have been walking everyday. Help! Has anyone else had this problem?

I am only day 2, but I have heard people say that you can retain Fluid because it goes into shock.. Just don't stress about it. Stick to the plan and you will be ok.. Good luck and don't let this bring you down.

My dietician told me to only weigh myself monthly because your weight can very so much from day to day.

Good luck! Remember to ask for pain medicine before it gets very bad. It's hard to get it under control. Ask for anti nausea medication if the pain medicine gets you sick.

Never read anything soo True!! Lol and walk, walk n walk some more????

Day 3 for me. I've been walking. Yesterday my sister came and I think I walked too much because I got nauseas. The nausea has gone down since I've been home. Still some. But i haven't even been able to get in 1/2 of the Protein. I feel

Really weak too

Hi, everyone!! I am 4 days post-op...had my sleeve done on Sept. 16. I am feeling great about my decision, and my only complaint is these stupid gas pains. Omg, sometimes they take my breath away! I have been walking and sipping all day. I don't feel hungry, but I am looking forward to the next phase of foods - pureed. I have to be on liquids for 2 weeks before I move on. Right now, I'm okay with that!

I hope everyone who got sleeved this past week is doing well!

Hi all!!! Had my surgery 9/17 and all has been well. Not much pain at all but today I'm finding a feeling of maybe fullness with my Protein Shake for Breakfast? Maybe I drank too fast.

I did has a day or so of nausea but the pills worked. I'm not able to tolerate Water straight but I have it mixed with a bit of g2 and that works.

I had my first bm yesterday and it was rock hard so I'm going to get some milk of mag today and see if that helps me.

For the most part all is good.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
