Got laid off 1st day back to work from surgery

Recommended Posts

Wow,, just wow...I can't believe he said that after your surgery. I bet something better is in the cards for you. Look at it as an opportunity for a great change. You will be changing inside and out as it is...here's to the new you!!!

He is a jerk plain and simple. I KNOW something has got to be better than that place. I'm feeling better, a lil' more confident (I'm 15 days post op) and ready for a change. Thanks for the nice words! I appreciate it!

How awful! Love the use of his terrible pun there. I'm sorry! I will probably be fired from my job soon as well...

I really hope you don't lose your job also. Hang in there!

I'm not sure if this was answered already, but where are you from? Doesn't FMLA protect you against getting laid off? Or, maybe it wouldn't even be worth the fight anyway. :-(

I'm in Dallas/Fort Worth area. I didn't take FMLA because I wasn't out of the office very long.

Not all changes are good but be sure that along with your weight loss and a new job, you will be motivated to make all kinds of changes in your life. That's what it is all about. Good luck to you and may your next job be your dream job.

Typical guy <-------- I quickly read the title and my guy mind quickly saw....

."got laid 1st day back from surgery" .....................

I was all ready to high five ya........... :D Talk about awkward....

Maybe this will be one of those " a door closes and a window opens" things..... Best of luck... ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
