Hiya! Sleeved August 12th

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. I was sleeved on August 12th. Had a very good surgery and have had an easy recovery. I am on phase 2 liquids, switch to puree on Thursday. Anyone who can offer some good foods for stage 3 i would love to see them.

Thanks!!

Jessica

I was sleeved on the 13th of August. It's getting really old having liquids. I have been adding a few crackers with cheese and chewing the heck out of them and it has helped me with getting some Protein. So far I'm down 26 pounds including the 10 I lost on the "liver shrinking" diet. I am still hungry throughout the day which I didn't think would be the case. However, seeing the scale number drop is totally WORTH IT!!!! I even had a small amount of frozen yogurt (the kind that comes out of a machine) and it was AMAZING and I didn't have any issues with it.

I was sleeved on Aug 11th. Everything has been going well, except I'm soooo tired of liquids and Protein shakes! 2 more days and I move on to soft foods! I'm down 17lbs which is amazing for 2weeks. I have been walking 3miles daily and I think that has really helped. Looking forward to losing more!

Focus on the future and not the food. Popsicles, broth, popsicles broth lol! Thousands have been where you are LOL, and that is such a distant memory 9 months later. Just improvise, add spices, mush and puree. Do not get ahead of yourself with the food. This is a life changer, and the honeymoon period is over for me and I am now having to work really hard to try to lose more. But it is the best time for you so stay focused and keep busy, keep your mind off food. Take a walk, do anything. I am happier than ever in so many years and my life (and my husband) has changed drastically. Wishing you so much happiness.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
