Kathy, that pepper does sound good! Stalls are so aggravating. How long has yours been?

@@shmeyers here's the stuffed pepper recipe: I only made two small red peppers & here's my disclaimer..... I don't really measure anything so this is not exact.

I used approx. 1/2 pd lean ground beef, 2 red bell peppers(I prefer the taste over the green). 1/2c chicken broth, cheddar or any cheese you like, 1/2c refried Beans, small can Tomato sauce.

Brown the ground beef w/seasoning of your choice, I used lawrys season salt. Meanwhile lightly boil salted Water, add your red peppers. Be sure to cut the tops off first & remove seeds before boiling .DO NOT BOIL ANY LONGER THAN TWO OR THREE MINUTES. just enough to soften the peppers. Remove and shake off any excess water.

Preheat oven to 375.

In a mixing bowl add your ground beef, beans, cheese & half can of tomato sauce mix well-stuff in peppers.

In a baking dish add the chicken broth& remaining tomato sauce, mix well. Place the stuffed peppers on top, cover and bake 30 minutes.

Some people do not boil the peppers but I like mine soft & so does my sleeve. The good thing is you can add anything you like to your peppers. When it's done, you can pour the sauce over your pepper. So good!

Let me know how it turns out when you make it.

@@stephh,i've been telling everyone that my stall is going on two weeks but I looked at my calendar & it's only been five days LOL ! I guess it just felt like an eternity.

The good news is I got on the scale today and I lost 2 pounds yippee!

As a side note, two weeks prior to my stall, I had only lost 1 pound each week. So it has been slow going but again, I am remaining optimistic.

@@Kathy812 Thank you for sharing this recipe!! I can't wait to make it. Sounds delicious.

I just returned from a week long work trip in Chicago. This was my biggest fear pre and post op. How am I going to do?! Are people going to notice I eat like a rabbit? Will my stomach give me problems? (either I can't go, or I can't stop going!) I was terrified!

I am so happy to say it was all OK!!! The first exciting moment was sitting in my seat on the plane! I fit!!!! I didn't have anxiety about a seat belt extender and I felt like I could move around!!! AMAZING!! Not one person commented on what I was Or wasn't eating. The only thing people wanted to know was where I buy my yummy Protein hot chocolate! Lol. Everybody is on some type of diet or another, so I had no worries at all.

I am not great about getting on here because I have to be on my computer to be able to figure this site out. I do read the posts and am so happy everyone seems to be doing well!

I don't remember who posted about having poop problems, but my Dr. recommended Miralax and that has been very gentle. I also gave it to my kids as babies so I felt comfortable trying it myself. Just in case y'all need another option!

Take care everyone!

I don't get on here enough but I appreciate all the chatter in this room. I am allowed 600 calories a day. But not allowed any carbs. Would love some cream of wheat. Not allowed beef or pork until I reach goal. Also no fresh or frozen vegetables til I am 3 months out. Doing great down 40 lbs since preop 10/4

I went back to the gym this afternoon for the first time since surgery. Success! I was able to walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes and do a full round of (gentle) upper-body weights. I've been walking since surgery, of course, but it's been in smaller chunks of time or else slowly - this was the most intense workout I've done in a while - before surgery my knee hurt too much and I struggled to do 10 minutes at a time! So I am feeling super jazzed.

I got a voucher for a few sessions with a fitness trainer with my surgery packet. I want to meet with her and see if she'll work with me to build a program I can do on my own and only meet with her every once in a while, as I can't afford to see a trainer every week or whatever.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else is doing strength training, what kind of routine you do.

@@AgentShepard good for you, that was a great accomplishment.

I work out at home and use free weights. My bariatric center provides us an exercise physiologist. He gave me some exercises to do with free weights. I was instructed to work out 20 minutes on the treadmill or recumbant bike and 10 minutes with free weights, for a total of 30 minutes 4x per week.

I have my two month appointment on Monday, so I'll see if he changes my program.

Thanks! I have. I'm probably not eating enough. I know I'm not getting enough Protein. Lots of stress and busyness in my life right now. Hope to slow down and find time to work out soon. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
