Any October Dates?:)

I don't think a random smoke of a cigar / or even a black would pop a positive though ... That would depend on 'how' random the use was.

Now that I can't have them, and the closer get to surgery, the more I think about having one... or two... or four... On a regular basis. My mind is trying to fail me. Kind of like my increase desire for sugar... Smh. Lol

I hope the Chantix works for you. I know smoking hinders the body's healing process and how important yet difficult it can be to stop. Best wishes and prayers to you. You can do it!!

Hey everyone! My surgery date is October 1, and I'm scared nervous and really excited!! I start my liquid diet next week, and I have a ton of appointments from now until October (with a full time job and a 2.5 yr old to keep track of). I hope to keep in touch with all of you through this process!!

Good luck JenW~79 , I'm feeling the same way. Finally did all pre op appointments and as I get closer to the 1st the reality is really setting in. How long is your hospital stay post op?

Scheduled for October 21, 2014 in Tiajuana Mexico with doctor Jose Rodriguez with Belite weightloss. Super exited and nervous! 25/8 all I do is think about my surgery. I read everything I get my hands on concerning WLS. I've never wanted something so bad and at the same time be so nervous and afraid of wanting it! Wishing all of you a safe and successful surgery!

Nikalex, I'm in Tijuana on the 24th with Dr. Rodriguez. I'm also nervous and excited. I feel good about Dr. Rod. I feel like I made the right choice.

Hello everyone, I'm scheduled for surgery on October 7th in Greenville Nc. I know I have one of the greatest surgeons in eastern NC, Dr. Naziri :). I'll start my pre-op diet on 9/23 which is next Tuesday. I'm very excited and ready to proceed forward with my journey. I wish all of you the best, I know we will do well. Let's stay in touch.

Hi! My surgery date is October 14th. Filled with anxieties and must stop smoking this weekend so I can hurdle the tobacco test. ... A bit nervous since I've never tried stopping and have been a smoker for 22 years. I'm sure I'll pull it off just extremely stressed about it.

Hi, I just quit smoking in July. I never thought I would be able to overcome that hurdle because I had attempted to quit so many times before. I was determined to quit for my health and for a quick recovery after surgery. It also helped that my surgeon required me to quit 3 months before surgery :).

I want to give you some tips to overcome the urge. You will probably experience your worst withdrawal the first 2 weeks. Try to make flushing the nicotine from your system top priority (morning until night); drinking cranberry and or grapefruit juice and lots of Water. Also begin taking a Multivitamin. Once the nicotine leaves your system the craving will subside.

You can do it and hope this will help you.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
