July 31, 201411 yr So I have my surgery date for the 6th October 2014, sososo excited! Yet strangely nervous. I'm kind of in the "food funeral" stage at the moment, feel sort of guilty. So I have 2 months to slap myself into gear. Anyone else with an October date?
August 9, 201411 yr October 24. I'm 11 weeks from surgery, which in my mind seems like a long time, but I bet it comes before I know it.
August 9, 201411 yr I have an October 1 surgery date and like you, I'm having these food funeral feelings as well. I wasn't nervous until I got a date, now, I'm anxious, nervous, excited and everything else.
August 11, 201411 yr Author Congratulations Ladies, yeah I'm sure it will go quick, just can't stop over thinking on what I'll need and how much of a huge step this is, so exciting. Good luck to you both, I'm going to add you both if that is okay for support?
September 5, 201411 yr Hi! My surgery date is October 14th. Filled with anxieties and must stop smoking this weekend so I can hurdle the tobacco test. ... A bit nervous since I've never tried stopping and have been a smoker for 22 years. I'm sure I'll pull it off just extremely stressed about it.
September 6, 201411 yr Just got my date 2 days ago. October 1st.. very nervous, seems everyone is more excited than me. Want to make sure I'm making the right decision but I've been wanting it for so long, now I'm not sure if it's the right thing. I'm so over thinking this. Edited September 6, 201411 yr by Lateese92

A bit nervous since I've never tried stopping and have been a smoker for 22 years. I'm sure I'll pull it off just extremely stressed about it. I randomly smoke a cigar or Black n Mild from time to time. I even go months without one. My biggest fear is absent mindedly FORGETTING I can't smoke and failing my blood test.

For years I've used smoking as a stress reliever - hence I have 4 little girls. :-) I need to be mindful today about other options to relieve the stress. I don't think a random smoke of a cigar / or even a black would pop a positive though ... That would depend on 'how' random the use was. I wish you the best. I know drinking lots of water helps to rid the body of tobacco toxins - looks like I'll be drinking it by the gallons!

My mind is trying to fail me. Kind of like my increase desire for sugar... Smh. Lol I hope the Chantix works for you. I know smoking hinders the body's healing process and how important yet difficult it can be to stop. Best wishes and prayers to you. You can do it!!
