  1. The company I had my surgery with picked me up at the airport in San Diego. We drove right across the boarder with no issues and no stops. When you cross the boarder back into the states, that's when they check our passports but didn't look through all our luggage. Maybe because the company I went with has a medical transport card?
  2. I went into surgery as 330 and today (2 weeks since surgery) I weighed in at 301.4. I can't wait to get into the 200's because it had been about 3 years since I have been!!
  3. I fly to Mexico tomorrow morning and my surgery is Sunday. I am super excited but just wanting to get through the next day of travel on liquids.

  5. What form is needed from you GP to have your surgery covered by AHC? I'm going to Mexico because I don't want to wait but I am definitely a viable candidate for the surgery. A reimbursement would be nice...
  6. You will do great, ItsJessica!! I felt the same way. But once I started seeing the lbs drop (5 and Im on day 5) it made it a little easier. Im scared of the liquid phase and traveling with my husband and only liquids to sustain me (Im Oct 5th!)

  10. My surgery is scheduled for oct 5 at Mi Hospital with Dr Elias Ortiz. I've spoken with numerous people who have used my surgeon and totally recommend him. I'm paying $4900 (high BMI)
  11. Hey everyone. Hope you are all recovered! We (my husband and I) booked our flights today but I'm wondering how far the Marriott is from Mi Hospital? I don't think my hubs will be happy staying in the hospital with me but I do want him close.

  15. I am the exact same way! I've been looking at people on Instagram that have had success that even my husband is tired of "look babe! Look how amazing she's done!" "That's all I'll be able to eat" "that's her stomach!!" My surgery isn't until Oct 19 but I think about moving it up every day since I'm doing self pay in Mexico. Would you move yours to sooner if you could?
