What Type of Multi Vitamin Do You Take?

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I was just wondering what type of Multi Vitamins everyone else in taking. Or do you take one at all?

Right now I am using Nature's Own Multi Vitamin Plus Fish Oil (Omega 3) it's OK but I am sure that there must be something better. I feel like it's not doing anything for me. Thanks for any advice in advance.

M y dietician suggested Supradyn when I went on my liquid stage and I've been taking it eversince along with my regular "glass" of Berocca first thing in the morning.

I took supradyn (I waited for it to go flat) for the first year, now I just take Cenovis women's multi, when I remember to take it that is.

Hi, the supradyn is not a complete multi, good for the first few weeks to get down but after that you need a better multi with more nutrients. I have been taking the Swiss Ultravite for women for years and find it to be great, I can tell from my energy levels whether I've forgotten it or not. It does go down, but you can break it in half if neccesary.

Large tablets, even broken in two, can be hard for a lot of bandsters to get down, so Supradyn is better than nothing.

Hey, I take Centrum broken in half every morning. I am also taking Biotin for my Hair loss. I have the thickest hair but have been losing it in clumps lately. I was told it should grow back normally once I have lost all my weight and it has stabilised.:)

I take Accomin liquid - 10mls a day.

I'm still in the liquid stage (12 days Post op), but I'm finding it pretty good - I started taking it 2 weeks pre band.

Banded: 13th Nov '07

Start Weight: 136 kg's

Today: 126 kg's

Did you know that consumerlab.com tests supplements and can tell you which ones really have what they say they have? They found that almost all supplements of coq10 had NO or little CoQ10 in them. It's worth is in order to get what you pay for.....

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
