My surgeon had me start them 1 week after surgery, but it seems like the more I read he introduced them about a week before most other people get to start them with other doctors.

I started puree at 2 weeks. I was never so glad to have eggs or refried beans in my life (although now that they're a dietary staple, they're not nearly as exciting)

18 days out. But I didn't tolerate them well till about 24 days

4 weeks after surgery is my surgeon's standard plan but the dietician advanced me to purees a week early because I was doing so well getting my liquids and protein in and was tolerating everything just fine.

When were you allowed purée foods?

Mine is at phase 3 which I starte today...but havnt done it yet..I do have some baby food in there of fruit an oatmeal. ..might try a lil later tnight..

I was in the hospital second day post op. I only had 1 day of liquids post op. I am down 75 pounds in 3 months so it worked. I never had nausea or vomiting either.

1 week post op. Regular foods after 3 weeks.

My surgeon told me to have pureed on the 3rd week post-op which is today! Yay! I had 1/3 of an egg per meal (egg mixed with mik & water cooked in microwave) around 2 tablespoons and I'm satisfied, I can walk 5k after.

I'm now more worried with fiber, I will try to have veggie purée with fish tomorrow. I have 100 gr of Halibut in my fridge and wonder when I can finish it. :-(

Day 4 anything without seads that would go through a straw

The day after surgery (1 day post op) I was on pureed/soft foods. I never had a problem with any of the food I've eaten.

I have to wait 1 week after surgery to start puréed foods .

As soon as I got home from the hospital. So, two days. They advised if I wanted to stay on liquids I could for another day or two but I chose not to because my stomach tolerated the purees fine. But I hated my time with purees. I was so happy a week later to be on soft solids.

Wow...seeing we are all over the place with days of when to start pureed foods an soft solids. I had 2 wks of liquids then 2 wks of pureed..I just started phase 3 yesterday which I'm 2 wks postop..weight seems to be stalled at the moment..I went up 2 then back down 2..so I am still 31 odd in 2 wks...I'm not complaining just stating..experimenting with a lil here an there..ate out for the first time today..I just got some soup beans an smashed in the juice..they were so good. I havnt done much added protein today n yesterday I am gagging over the unflavor whey I have...ordered me a new brand supposed to get it tomorrow. ..going out of town this wknd. ..going to b interesting but I'm packing a bunch of my things..:)

I was on liquids for 2 weeks, I'm supposed to be on purees, tunas, scrambled eggs, applesauces and yogurts but I am including soft foods into my diet like fruit cups. I'm 4 weeks post op. I just made turkey chilli and haven't had any problems with anything I have eaten.
