  1. I was in the hospital second day post op. I only had 1 day of liquids post op. I am down 75 pounds in 3 months so it worked. I never had nausea or vomiting either.
  2. I has pureed food on day 2 the hospital and was supposed to be on pureed food for 2 months. At the 1 month appointment the NUT told me anything I could with a plastic fork was ok. I ate mostly ham which I ground up very fine by chewing. I never liked blended food.
  3. I ate a lot of ham and refried Beans and cheese and brocoli Soup. I was told anything that could be cut with a plastic fork was okay.
  4. I was on liquids only a day and then went straight to pureed. I have lost 70 pounds in 3 months so it works. They said they did it to prevent stenosis. Personally I hated pureed food so I ate mostly liquids like refried Beans anyways. Good luck.
  5. They told us that we 20% of sleevers experience dumping syndrome. That is quite a bit lower than gastric bypass.
  6. Luckily my MD only had a special diet for the day before. Everything went fine for me with no liver reduction diet.
  7. Mine said no baths for 2 weeks. Each MD is different, I'd check with their office to be sure.
  8. I have tried quite a few protein shakes. I found out about nectar protein shakes and I have really enjoyed those. They taste a lot like fruit juices and they go down easy.
  9. I have surgery scheduled in 2 weeks, I was also only given a day before preop diet. I am going to a bariatric COE in Indiana so they know what they are doing. I did question them to be sure.
