JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP

 • Popular Post

Hey folks. I was looking to set up a thread for July 2014 sleevers. I believe the other threads were originally back in 2013.

I just had my surgery on July 2. I'm SO glad I did this. My breaking point was being diagnosed with high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and a host of other problems. I put on another 30 pounds from October to February of this year. I was a good 185 and quit smoking. I ballooned up to 305. I'm self pay and I got to 278 during my pre-surgery.

Since the surgery, I don't think I've been hungry, but I'm still dealing with the healing process. My first postop is Thursday. My only complaint is the low energy level. I knew it was coming, but wow.

I'd like to hear from those who started their life change this month. I am also hoping this can be a thread we can keep tabs on each other, as well as provide motivation when we need it

Hi! I was sleeved on July 1 in puerto vallarta mexico as a self pay. At the time of surgery, my BMI was. 34.86. I'm short (5.0) and carry my weight in the mid section. I am happy to report that I had zero complications from surgery. I woke up, walked around, and felt pretty good. I spent additional days in PV and was able to do a lot of walking with my family with no problems at all. I started full liquids today and had cream of broccoli soup which was yummy. I also started my premier protein shakes.

I'm having mine done in Tijuana Mexico on the 17th! Happy to hear you had a good experience :-)

However I'll delete you from my page after, only cause I'd rather get to know everyone through our group before adding you as a friend on my personal page. So don't take offense please! The group is great though so we'd love yall to join us!

Facebook.com / mrs.pamelaclark

How exciting! I'm going to send you a request! :-)

Independence day will mean more to me than just fireworks. I celebrated my personal Independence, hence the name rebirth7414. I had my surgery in Tijuana Mexico on July 4th. I was so nervous about going out of the country. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. I'm a week out today and still on liquids. I went in grocery store yesterday to get some things first time I ever walked through and didn't have a desire for stuff of course bad stuff. I bought frozen fruit to make smoothies. I am ready to start working out but I know my body isn't. My stomach is still sore swelling is going down. In a few months I will be looking at a new person in the mirror. I cant wait to meet her!

I'm having mine in Tijuana on the 17th! I'm excited :-) Gratz to you!

I'm in a lot of pain.. I keep wanting to throw up.. Can barely keep water down.. Calling my Dr this morning..

I'm so so sorry. I hope they can get you something to soothe your sleeve. The teeny bit of nausea I had was MISERABLE. Will keep you in my prayers.

Sleeved on the 9th-so far I'm getting most of the liquids in. Only Water, a premiere Protein and broth.

Got on the treadmill twice and did 3 min each time-very slowly.

Still feel very bloated.

I'm scheduled for surgery on July 22nd. This thread is great! It is so comforting reading about everyone's experiences. I'm scared, excited, and hopeful that this tool will enable me to lead a healthy lifestyle at a normal weight.

@qtpatootie2681What is your link to your FB? I'm not sure if I'm friending the right person? Thanks!

Hey there ! Just had my sleeve this past Monday (July 7th) feeling glad that's it's all over but i am still sore and having some anxiety. It's just that I am such a food lover , and even though I'm not hungry I'm already thinking about what food I'm gonna have when I can actually eat again ( which is obviously contradicting the whole point of my surgery ) anyone have any advice ? Now that I know it's permanent I'm just getting some jitters ! I have a long journey still ahead of me !

Mine is july 22nd as well. I'm excited about this! What a great group! Those that already had it how is the weight loss going?

Just checking in to see how you are doing. Hope the nausea is gone. I know it has to be horrible. Everything is so tender the first week.

I'm finally able to sleep on my side and even my belly with only light discomfort. I'm craving the broth, and have been losing about a pound a day. Hope that keeps up for many months. :)

My date is July 22. Still a little nervous but ready. Lost 10 lbs on first week of protein shakes but I MISS chewing food! Quit smoking fees weeks before this. When I change my life I change everything. I will post my post op progress and be asking lists if questions too!

Okay guys, I'm staring to panic. Before surgery my greatest fear was that it wouldn't work. I am 4 days post op and still weigh the same as when I went in for the surgery. In fact I came out of hospital pound or two up. Not looking for drastic loss, but some kind of downward trend would be welcome. Even a few ounces.
