  2. I use my net diary. It allows me to track blood sugar, even though diabetes seems to be in remission, and provides a weekly report I can show my nutritionist. I've tried my fitness pal, but like the other one much better.
  3. I had a hernia repair sand I was told the same thing as Bob. I had no problems with hernia or sleeve and did not require and pain medication after the recovery room. Everyone is different. I have an extremely high pain tolerance do the entire procedure, or both of them, were relatively simple for me.

  5. Thanks AnnieRichards. My experience had been so easy compared to others that I don't really feel like anything has been done except the liquid diet is no longer debilitating like it was pre op
  6. Okay guys, I'm staring to panic. Before surgery my greatest fear was that it wouldn't work. I am 4 days post op and still weigh the same as when I went in for the surgery. In fact I came out of hospital pound or two up. Not looking for drastic loss, but some kind of downward trend would be welcome. Even a few ounces.
  7. Had my surgery his morning and I am doing great. Feel a little like I did too many sit ups. No pain medication since surgery. Nurse says I'm pretty clear now.
  8. Mine is tomorrow at 8:30. I am ready, but a little scared at the same time. I've been on pre-op diet for six days, and now I'm constantly burping up the protein shake taste. Not very good. I'm looking forward to getting through next week of clear liquids on to full liquids. I'm so sick of sweet stuff I could scream. Looking forward to yogurt, blended soups.

  12. My headaches finally stopped yesterday. 4th day on liquid diet
  13. I'm two days from surgery. I have followed the liquid pre-op religiously in spite of some issues. I'm suddenly overcome with fear that it won't work, that I'll go through this and still be obese
  14. Oh, and NavyMom, He got married in 2011 in Monterey, CA My surgery date is also July 9. We'd probably make good surgery buddies. How do I add you?
  15. NavyMom, Mine went in in 2010. He is. CTI, Arabic. Stationed at Fort Gordon, GA. He will be in San Diego for seven weeks of language refresher

  17. NavyMom6, I'm a navy mom too. Boy or girl and how long in?
  18. Oh, I'm self-pay in St. Louis. Started at 332, down to 309 now.
  19. Hi All, This is my first time here. I'm scheduled for surgery July 9, and I am currently in 6 day pre-op liquid diet. Struggling with severe headaches, almost passed out at the library today (3rd day). I hope this gets better. Any suggestions that might help?
