Hi I got banded this wed 25th, I was quite poorly after with sickness. However I am allergic to Morphine and the anathetist did say that in being allergic I was more likely to feel sick afterwards! the wind was the worse part which I am still getting rid of! But honestly dont worry as I was petrified and it was nothing!

Hi Heather,

I am the worst at anesthesia ,severe vommiting and nausea. I was banded two days ago and I expressed my concern to everyone. The anestheiologist gave me an anti nausea patch before putting me under . When I woke I was not vommiting but still sick as a dog. They gave me alot of meds to calm my stomach but nothing worked until phenegran. So if you get sick make sure they give phenegran 1st. That way you won't suffer for hours like I did. It is good advise to walk around get the gas out and to use the breathing thing, however it was impossible for me. Take care of nausea 1st.Good Luck and don't worry!

mine was probably a level of 3 when I woke up...then I got up and started walking as soon as I could...that helps relieve the gas in chest...good luck ..hope all goes well...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
