Aug. 26 is my date. I'm nervous, and a little scared (I'm a big baby about pain) and not looking forward to being in the hospital...but I'm totally ready to start my new life!

I'm soooooooo excited and nervous and ready! I've decided to put together some BEFORE pics, painful as it is, and log every step of this journey. I want to look back a year from now and see my progress . I want to remember where I started from and never go back! August 1st hurry up!

4th of July holiday and switch in surgery schedules to every other Friday has put me into August now. August 1st is looking like my new date for sleeve surgery!

We were in the same July Sleevers group but I found out my date might get changed to August too! Won't know till Tuesday but we'll see.

It's frustrating to say the least. I'm to anxious trying to think about something else.

I'm hoping for August date. I have my last appt on the 14th for it to go to insurance approval. I'm staying on top of everything. My surgeons office has everything but my NUT consult. Currently they are doing end of July into August scheduling. I'm hoping it goes quickly.

Good luck

My date is August 4th. I'm doing the food funeral thing too.

I've been eating ice cream a lot too.

*evil-er wicked-er grin*

**I know there are no such words as evil-er & wicked-er. I just like the way they sound.**

I've been enjoying my food funerals a lot lately. When I got my EGD last week. I found out I actually lost a few pounds. WTH??? My metabolism is all out if whack. I can't wait to get the surgery and to start a new chapter in my life. Good luck everybody. WE GOT THIS!!!

Hope you do not mind, but I am scheduled for July 29...so would like to be a part of this group as well bc I am so close to August. I am trying to begin my pre-op diet slowly and have been doing one Protein drink a day, but with almond milk and fruit. Very hungry...struggling!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
