Dr-Patient, for what it's worth, I think most of us followed you. Luckily, it's been my experience that posts and responses like the OP's are scarce on here. Someone seems to have forgotten we are all here to get help and support each other. I'm going to do my best to ignore the nastiness at this point.

Its funny kuz he or she removed what had been said in the first place to get my reaction. Or the so called "nastiness" when I was being nice about it. Funny how people can change what they write to make another person seem like the wrong 1

Just making my observation

To the OP, I'm only responding to your last posts, just so you are clear:

My first edit was before your reply to me, so I didn't change anything to make it seem one way or the other. I don't do that. That's like altering a medical record. I would never change something that changes the course of events.

In my second post, my edit was the addition of this comment: "In fact, I didn't ask you to do anything; I simply made an observation." because I thought it was pertinent.

Now, I will not respond to you anymore. You were inappropriate and your nastiness was uncalled for. Own it.

Have a nice day.

PS [My Edit for this post]: I only entered this thread again because someone new liked my post. While seeing that, I happened to see your comments. I will NOT check back on this thread again, as I have no interest in people who try to defend their misplaced nastiness.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
