I everybody,

I was sleeved on 20th may. So far so good! No problems to speak of, and am losing weight slowly but surely.

I am after snack/ quick lunch ideas. I work full time, and many a time eat on the road, or quickly between meetings ( and that's another topic for another day!)

So far I've had lots of tuna, yoghurt, left overs from the night before, that sort of thing...but I'm getting bored.

I read other ideas on here, but it's mainly from people in the USA, and half the time have no idea what they are talking about ( what's gumbo?) :)

I look forward to all your brilliant ideas! God knows, my imagination sucks when it comes to food!

Welcome here! "Gumbo is a dish that originated in southern Louisiana during the 18th century. It typically consists primarily of a strongly flavored stock, meat or shellfish, a thickener, and seasoning vegetables, which can include celery, okra, bell peppers and onions."

Where do you live? Your food choices (if you are outside the US) are not the same as ours. For Snacks, I try to keep on hand lowfat string cheese, cottage cheese with SF Polaner jam, a few almonds, a boiled egg, chicken salad, egg salad, etc. We do not snack too much but if you have a small cooler you can always take these things with you as you travel. Good luck!

what about little quiches, or egg muffins with veggies, or bits of cheese with pineapple.. anything you can munch on, or go to a health food store and get those sugar free vegan biscuits/crisps that kind of thing

I eat mostly raw, but you tube and pintrest offers so many ideas for healthy Snacks. One of my faves is thin apple slices with a small bit of apple butter wrapped in spinach. You can do this shredded also and bake it.

never underestimate the awesomeness of mono-snacks. Just a cut up melon or an orange or carrot, apple or grapes. The blueberry/walnut/chicken/apple salad is great, and a tangy wasabi mayo is a healthy fat to bring it together.

Thanks guys. I like the idea of quiches, but want to steer clear of the pastry. I have found a recipe that doesn't use pastry, so will try that.

I don't want to eat cheese.....I'm a cheese nut and could easily overdose.

I haven't been eating fruit, but will try today and see how I go.

Pinterest and YouTube! What a great idea....will get back to this thread if I find something.

Although I'm 5 weeks out today, I find I can eat reasonable amounts, and really have to listen to my sleeve and identify when I've had enough. I'm tending to snack too much, ( on things that aren't always good choices) especially in the evenings, which is an issue I had pre sleeve. As I have read regularly on here, half the battle is the psychological addiction to food....

Thanks for the replies!

BTW I was on the Atkins diet 10 years ago and began making crustless quiche. Just use a glass pie dish and it is awesome. I did use a muffin pan at about 2 months to make crustless quiche also. Great!

Trader Joe's is the ultimate for us sleevers. The portions are premade and usually a size where we will not waste a bunch of stuff.

I lived on fried eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt and Protein shakes along with cream of chicken Soup and mushroom Soup.< /p>

There is nothing better than some smoked turkey breast wrapped around a piece of cheese.< /p>

I don't get a lunch break and have to eat on the go everyday. My favorites are Mixed nuts, Protein Bars, beef Jerky, seasoned pumpkin seeds, and kale chips, And if you have a way to keep things cold....hard boiled egg, Greek yogurt with granola, tuna salad, chicken salad, deli meat, Protein Shakes, and cheese sticks.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
