My surgeon's office recommends a separate Iron supplement due to the interaction between Calcium and Iron, (you don't absorb the iron in your intestines if it's taken at the same time as Calcium. SO.. I take a regular Multivitamin in the morning along with a time release calcium supplement, Biotin, fishoil, a probiotic a B12 and a D3. I take an iron supplement with lunch, then another Multivitamin before bed. Labs are good, so I guess its working.

My comments would be the same as above. I take a separate Iron tablet (Vitron C) at night before bed. My multiVitamin is opurity , Bypass and Sleeve optimized Multivitamin. It is from Unjury. It is a chewable, orange berry flavor. It is a little more expensive than most but they guarantee no ingredients from China, which means guaranteed quality.

My nut said taking 2 Flintstones Vitamins a day was good enough. But I also take time released B12, Calcium, D3, Biotin, and Vitamin C. She said if my body doesn't need all of that it will just come out as potent urine.

Thank you for letting me know about the calcium and Iron not being taken together. I did not know that. I don't currently take iron but will look into it.

I take 2 generic children's Vitamins. They're the only ones I could find that included thiamin and Iron (which my nurse said was important I have in my vitamin).

I take 2 Trader Joe's High Potency chewable Multi's (one with Breakfast, one with dinner), Wellesse liquid Calcium and liquid Iron (at least 2 hours apart), generic Vitamin D, K2, and B12. I get my labs drawn regularly and they have always been excellent.

I've been researching Vitamins and supplements for post op use since getting my surgery approved and date set. Most reliable comparisons seem to point to Celebrate, Bariatric Advantage and opurity as being the top three recommended and trusted brands for Gastric Sleeve Patients. I want a quality product that I can take with confidence so I will be using one or a combination of these brands for my long term use. I received sample packs with a good assortment of Vitamins and supplements from Celebrate and Bariatric Advantage so I can try them and decide which taste and work best for me. Opurity only sends samples to medical offices but they do offer a sample pack for purchase.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
