Had lapband to rny on May 21,2014. Lost 20 and then bam I have been stalled!!! I go up and down 2 pounds for the past week. It's so frustrating, makes me think I am doing something wrong. I know it's a stall but I worry I won't lose anymore.. It's messing with my head major! I really expected to continue losing like I was. I know it's not reality though. When I was banded in 2008 I was 300 pounds lost 120 in 9 months. Had to gain some to get the revision to rny so day of surgery I was 245. Now I am 225 and stuck. I wish I had the power to not weigh daily but I am so OCD I need to know lol. Any veteran revisioners to through this at the beginning??

Havent had surgery yet, but keep your head up! Do you have someone who can hide the scale for a few weeks to a month? I know I have read that during stalls some people lose inches, maybe thats what youre doing now! I'm going to have my husband hide my scale from me for a month(harder than it seems) so I don't obsess over it. Maybe taking weekly pics and measurements will help keep you preoccupied. Good Luck, I know I'll need it too!

I was revised 18 months ago today. The stall a few weeks after surgery is totally normal, although discouraging, I know. Just keep doing what your doctor says and it shouldn't take more than another week or two to start losing again.

I lost 90 lbs but have gained 10 back. I've got to get back on track! My loss was slower than others who got bypass when I did but they are younger and weren't having revisions--both of which make weight loss slower. I'm 65 and had the band 5 years.

I'm really happy with the results of the surgery but have also been discouraged at times. Comparing myself to others was one of my big pitfalls.

My advice would be to have faith in the procedure and your doctors instructions, don't compare yourself to others, and only weigh once a week. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
