My hubby and I were just discussing the same topic. We have decided to try Water activities over the summer that we have never done. We are going to plan canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and anything else we see that looks fun. For the winter (6-7 months long up here) we are going to sign up for different classes offered to the community. Our winter class list so far is: yoga, dancing, painting, and glass mosaics. We will add more as the community schedules them. What a better way to spend time together learning new things! We can't wait!

Challenge yourself to learn to cook a new, healthy meal suitable for the new you! For my wife and I, we are picking something new from a barbaric cookbook and attempting to find mastery and creativity to make it our own.

Girl, I'm looking, too! But for sure I know what to do with him, and how to care for and treat him, once we find each other! But I'm 58 and I don't know where the good, single, solely heterosexual ones are!

BUT...I am looking so good these days, my confidence is up and I am getting out, doing things, going places. Good luck to you, too.

PS: I do have (and have usually had) men calling me, etc, even some wanting to marry; but the ones around are not exciting me at all. Dang. Is it too late for that mutual attraction? Also, folks are crazy these days (WTF!!!?), so it's kinda scary!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
