2blessed I track my intake on MyFitnessPal in order to ensure I am getting enough Protein and it calculated my calories at 1200. I can't imagine only eating 500 a day! I would think I was starving to death.

I had the sleeve May 22, 2014. Was 269 morning of surgery---down to 246.6 today. Having a hard time getting all 64 oz of Fluid in as well on top of my Protein. Also having some abnormal pain in my stomach immediately below my breast bone. Often times difficult to take a deep breath. Still trying to chug along---but starting to really question if I've made the wrong choice.....

We have the same date =) Don't forget that the Fluid in your shakes also counts toward your fluid goal. So does anything like popcicles, Jello, yogurt, etc. Far as the pain, are you taking a PPI? Have you noticed if its specific to when you eat or drink?

Wow! What is a sample menu like for you on a daily basis? If you don't mind me asking. And how far out are you?

I was sleeved on May 19. I oddly was not weighed the day of surgery so I don't know how much was lost during that phase. I'd say I started at 220, lost about 10 - 15 the first week, and about 7 this second week. I let them weigh me the week after surgery and then I waited a week to weigh myself. I know I am under 200 but that's about as specific as I know. This is a strange and scary phase for me b/c I worry about going back up when I'm this close to under. I only weigh myself once a week for sanity purposes. :P

Protein is also an issue for me b/c although I'm on mushy/soft foods, my stomach wasn't having it. I know some hate this stuff but Isopure drinks with the Water consistency is the only thing that works for me (grape frost). I could not handle the Protein shakes I had bought in preparation. Lesson learned, money wasted. I tried a bunch after that, spent a bunch and at least I know with the Isopure I am getting about 45 to 50 grams in now, with 40 grams from that drink alone.

No pain on my right side. I do have more pain if I try to sleep on my left side than my right side.

Sleeve on Monday May 19th, from pre-op to now down 31lbs :). Been back at work for over a week now, back was really bothering me at first. I think due to having to sit up straight all day, it still is bothering me but not as much. However I go for my follow up appt today and will let the dr know.

hey there girls and boys. How is week 3 treating you? I am 10 lbs down and have maintained for the last 3 days. Trying not to get pissed about "slow" weight loss. 10 lbs in 17 days isn't too bad- it took me over 6 months to lose 31# pre-op!

I've got the slow weight loss too. I've lost 8kgs in three weeks....sooooo slow, but I refuse to get annoyed. It simply MUST start moving soon! I am eating so much less than what I was.

I thought the numbers were on a downward spiral again a few days ago....but nope.

I feel better, that's one plus.

I'm a medium loser - not fast but not slow either (at the moment) I haven't updated my ticker yet as I do that on Thursday, but I've lost 2 lbs this week so far. Week three is going okay but my pcp says there may be an infection in my incisions probably due to the bendryl as it has antihistamines in it and I'm sensitive to antihistamines but I have antibiotics for the next week.

I'm not sure what kind of loser I am yet because it's only been 3 weeks and I only weigh myself once a week. I feel comfortable saying I lost about 20 - 25 pounds since the surgery, but I highly doubt I will stay at this rate. I have trouble eating frankly...but I am sure that will go away and I will get down more. I'm hungry at times, but when I go for something like creamy cheese and hummus, I am shocked at how little I can handle before I get very uncomfortable.

I am a slow loser as well. Down 14lbs. Am hungry on and off during the day. I feel like I can eat more than most here and I don't know why. I can eat almost a whole container of Dannon light greek yogurt. If I can't finish the whole container, I wait an hour and polish it off. Getting enough Protein, but not drinking enough Water which I assume is the problem.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
