When I was fat I wore a 42DD. I have lost about 55 pounds and I needed a new bra. I went and bought a 38DD and I have found that the cup size is wrong, I am falling over the top of the bra. I might need to find a 38DDD/38E.

Has anybody heard of this? Could my cup size really be larger now?

Totally. I was very confused about this, too.

I went from a 42DD/E to a 36/38 F.....

Who knew this would happen. It was our friend on here Indigo, who told me that the more we lose our cup size goes up.

I can't get my head around an F.. Let alone a G if my back size drops any more!

Yes my cup size has gone up a size. It is very strange to me.

The cup size represents the difference/proportion between the measurement around your rib cage under your breast and the measurement around the fullest point of your breast. So if you lose proportionally more around your rib cage, then yes your cup size will go up. But if you lose proportionally more around the fullest part/top of your breast, than your cup size will go down as you lose weight. So it just depends on luck/genetics I guess.

Since it looks like you have more weight to lose (from your ticker anyway) your cup size might go back down even. This weight loss stuff is crazy!

I was a 42 GG in the Elomi bras pre surgery. Now I'm a 36 G. My boobs are like two deflated balloons. :-(

I am afraid or what will happen to my boobs once I start dropping weight post op. I am a 40H now. I may have to forgo surgery to remove the extra skin and instead pay to have my boobs put back up where they belong! I have always been busty and even in high school I wore a DD+.

Lucky! I wish my cup size went up...I went from a 50DDD to a 46C lol what gets me is the sagging more than the cup size. Hopefully when the weight is all off I can qualify for a breast lift and a Tummy Tuck. (Fingers are crossed)

I too went from a 44DD to now a 38DD and i spill a little but i think its from all the sagging. I have to pull all that up into my bra. Just excess skin, i dont think its thats ive grown but shrunk with all the extras. Just my thought anyway.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
