May 28-31st Sleeve Week!

Recommended Posts

I have discovered that drinking with a spoon creates by far the least discomfort. Just something to try if anyone is having trouble!

Is anyone having trouble with their eye sight ? Even with my reading glasses on, everything is way blurry

Yes blurry vision from time to time. Chalking it up to pain meds and needing rest. After rest vision is fine. Plus experiencing less of it since not needing pain meds as much.

Hey ladies, I was sleeved on the 27th as well and couldn't see a darn thing! The day after I got home I called the office because I was a little freaked out. The nurse asked me if I still had my nausea patch on that the hospital put on before surgery and I told her yes. She told me to remove it and see if things get better. So I took it off and it has slowly improved.

I was sleeved on May 27th. Everyone in the hospital was fantastic. I stayed in the hospital for 2 days. But those two days...wow. The gas pains caused me nausea and pain. That was the worst part. All my pain stayed in my belly region. It is now day 3 postop and I still feel the gas moving around but at least it does not cause nausea or pain. I too have blurred vision and chalked it up to the medicines in the hospital or anesthesia. I brought a book to read and only read a few pages as it was too difficult to focus. I have 5 bandages on my abdomen. No drains and no Foley catheter was ever inserted. I am sip-sip sipping my Protein Drinks now. Hard to get it all in.

Wow. That's crazy. The dr actually called me on the way home to remove mine. That must be it.

Was told it could be days. Also told if you do go and it's loose it can be from sugar intake thru drinking or eating if your at that stage.

I'm on full liquid. Any and everything I've consumed has been within guidelines. I don't have any pain or stomach issues... It's not "explosive" I did have one bm at the hospital similar and I let them no and they didn't seem to think anything of it? I guess if it keeps up or gets worse I will call the surgeon.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
