I've realized that if I take too big of a swallow of Water (yes I said water), that it gets stuck and up it comes. So I'm still sipping and drinking smaller swallows. On the food topic though.....scrambled eggs do it to me every time, so after 2 times.....I won't eat them anymore.

Same here...water - liquids DO NOT go straight thru...al least for me, just goes to prove not everybody is identical....

So i posted a week or so ago that nothing had made me sick and I was feeling quite lucky....six weeks out and I was sure I wasn't going to have problems. Saturday morning I drank Water and it all came back up! Water! It seems if I have water on an empty stomach I will become nauseous. Well tonight I had about 1/3 a cup of hamburger helper. I finished my plate right up and then threw it all up. Guess I won't be eating that again anytime soon. :-(

I'm one year out. I still can't eat turkey or chicken. Anything w/rice or rice flour will make me puke, too. I'm too afraid to eat bread and/or Pasta. I had my very first dumping experience a few days ago so anything w/even a little sugar will not pass my lips for a long, long time! (It was B&M baked beans) I am glad to know I will dump - it is a strong deterrent! :-)

Nothing I've eaten has made me puke yet, and I am nearly 4 months post surgery. I can eat bread, mini candy bars, ice cream, fried foods, steak, anything that I ate prior to surgery. That said, I get a feeling when I eat simple carbs which isn't altogether pleasant. Not nauseating or anything, just an overly full feeling that I've learned to dislike intensely. I'm guessing that is the reason that I've been successful in losing 40+ pounds so far. Even though I don't puke, I am quickly learning to change my old eating habits. My food bill has gone down considerably. I hope this keeps up.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
