Nope, I'm getting cut on Wednesday! I'm so excited/nervous! I'm 5'7". My starting weight is a wee bit lower, but I'm also a couple years older than you (27), so maybe it will even out. I'd be over the moon for results like yours, so fingers are tightly crossed! And again, congrats on your success!

That's so exciting! Good luck on Wednesday! You'll do great and I'm sure you'll be in a bikini before you know it!

Hey Mandy. It's an amazing thing you have accomplished. Be proud. I lost 200 pounds and always saw a fat girl in the mirror. My best friend called it FFG syndrome: Former Fat Girl Syndrome. I've gained about 150 back and am scheduled to be sleeved 7/9. Break out the sun tan lotion and leave the fat girl behind...you have most definitely earned your moment in the sun!

I definitely think I'm suffering from FFG syndrome! But I'm trying to leave it behind. Congratulations on your date! I'm sure you'll do great and love being sleeved!

Thank you! I wore it to the lake today and it felt AMAZING!

Congrats on your surgery! The first week was definitely the hardest for me and it just got easier from there. My exercises of choice are Spin classes and Bodypump classes. Weight training is very important so don't forget that. But take exercise slow this early on in your journey. Wait til your doctor clears you and go as slow as your body tells you to for now. It was hard for me to get used to exercising on such low caloric intake.

You'll do great!

Wear it, you look awesome! So there is a little saggy skin-big deal. You look bkini ready to us, but it is all about how you feel. So, taoe a little cover up, but def sport the bikini. If you get self conciuos you have a little cover to help you feel better if needed...;) be brave! Conquer!! Lols

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed. I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair. Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end. That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
