Fabulous to see some Aussie posts!

I've decided to go with dr Raymond mc Henry at lap surgery Australia in melbourne.

I'm actually based in Darwin.

I'm flying there next week for my appointment with dr & surgeons.

About to go have my ECG.

Im 100kg 169cm tall and would like to loose 25-30kg.

Hoping for the op in late oct, early November!

Hey Bella,

I had a gastric sleeve and I used Mr Simon Banting. I was operated on at St Vincent's Private. I had health insurance. It cost me $4000 but by the end it was $5000 out of pocket.

Bella.. Just used a BMI calculator and it's come back as 35.1 with your stats.

My journey has been complex.. Only last few months I've actually really seriously decided on a sleeve.

18 months ago my twin died and I went to the gym every day for 8 months.. I have fancy scales that show I'm. 40% fat/overweight..

I have aback injury and was about 97kg 1.5 hr sessions.. And I got down to about 90kg.. Then went back home for 1 week.. Put on 4kg..now recently got upto 101kg., Iw had enough! I'd be stoked to be 70kg.. Even 75kg I'm pretty "big boned" whatever that means!

Had infertility concerns.. And had some tests and was diagnosed with POS that is linked with not able to loose weight easy.

I'm 33 and desperate for a family so with my new syndrome I'm deciding to take control and cut my love affair with food lol because if I don't do anything now if I so go on hormones to get pregnant, then god knows how much more weight I'll put on and won't be about to loose!

Have to be firm but fair with myself!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
