Any May 20th surgeries out there?

  • Popular Post

Hi everyone,

I have been on this forum a few months, but haven't really spoken up. I have just been like a sponge soaking up everyone's knowledge and experiences. I am so happy to say that I have been approved by BCBS for my sleeve surgery, and it will be on May 20th, which also happens to be my 8 year wedding anniversary! Anyway, I couldn't contain my excitement to start this new chapter in my life:-)

So exciting! Best wishes! I'm waiting on my call!

Be sure to check In and let us know how you are doing:)

My surgery is scheduled for 1pm tomorrow. Clear liquids only until that time. God bless you all. See you on the losers bench!

Just got the call...surgery is at 8:15am tomorrow!! Ahhhh I can't believe it's here! All the planning, doctors appointments, classes, and protein shakes have brought us to the day that's going to change our lives :) I wish you all the best of luck and a speedy recovery! I can't wait to hear all of your stories...see you on the other side!

One more day of clear liquids before the big day! It was a little tough. I can't imagine not being hungry ans only being filled up by a couple of bites of food, but I shall soon see. It's almost like a dream. Good luck to those having surgery tomorrow.

Packed and ready to go for tomorrows 11:20 check in and 1:30 surgery time. Starting to feel the nerves....eeekkkkk!!!! All done talking about it. Time to GET ER DONE! :-)

See you on the losers bench!

Got the call ..have to be at hospital At 645... Nervous and excited, and a little sad as my husband decided tonight to tell me his much he doesn't want this, and how selfish I'm being considering the risks involved ... But upward and onward! Tomorrow is the big day

Wow teemarie

I'm sorry to hear that as I know that support is important. I'm sure he is just concerned about you and just wants you to be safe. He is probably also concerned that you may change with this change. However he has to consider that it was a little selfish to tell you something like that the night before surgery which just places added pressure. I'm sure once you are in recovery phase he will be more understanding. It's hard living in the bodies we are in wether its our fault or not. No one REALLY understands unless they have personally dealt with this issue. My prayers are with you. Keep us posted.

Thank you

My wife is having mixed emotions. She has threatened a divorce if I move forward, but doctor says I will die very young without it. Praying for u, can't wait to hear the great news.

Off to bed, surgery tomorrow for my wife and I in Mexico. Good luck all tomorrow including my wife. My prayers are with each and everyone of us. Everyone have safe travels. We will have a whirlwind of a day starting in Ohio and ending 27 hours later by being sleeved in Tijuana, Mexico.

Good luck to all having surgery tomorrow. Makes me almost jealous but tomorrow will make one day for me.
