Sounds good. I understand im afraid a tattoo would get all warped when we lost weight.

I want tinker bell . The image of her seeing her reflection for the first time.

That sounds so very cool.

I am getting a tattoo at each 50 pound mark-already have an appointment with my tattoo gal. Getting them in areas that should not be affected by any type of skin reduction surgery. Other than that, I am signing up with hubby for either ballroom and/or line dance classes. He agreed as a gift to me (he has 2 very large left feet) :)

I will get a tattoo but it needs to be relevant. Possibly a stick figure ;)

Goal? It seems such a long way away that I haven't even thought about it :(

I have thought about my first 40 kg's. I'm buying myself a special piece of jewellery that I have needed an excuse to buy for a long time!

Guess I should think about my goal weight too!

Brg that is awesome I may have to get that too to mark the journey!! I love it. I am scared to think of the end right now I am concentrating on the 28 I have to lose for preop. Then my next hurdle will be 50. And then by 20's after that.

I want to do all the things I CAN'T do right now because of my weight - like roller coasters, parasail, zip line, etc., when I'm on vacation. It's not that I really WANT to do those things. I just HATE that I cannot do them now, and figure I'm missing out on some real fun.

And clothes shopping, in ANY store, although I love you IGIGI and Lane Bryant.

I'm going to take my cute big girl dresses to my local seamstress and have them altered to fit the new me.

I hear ya. The simplest things that cause our bodies to ache because of the extra weight we carry will be awesome to be able to do when it doesn't hurt to do it anymore.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
