I will b 4 weeks out Thursday and still feel like crap!!!! Feel like something is stuck in my throat and see ENT tommorrow. Soooooo nauseas!!!! Haven't went to the bathroom in 4 days and not passing gas. The area around the largest incision on my left side is hurting so bad and my left shoulder. Everybody says I am fine but have not kept food or medicine down in a week and half. Acutally got my paramedic co-worker to start a couple IV's on me to keep me hydrated. Surgeon says everything is ok. Well fine!!! I quit!!! I will never complain about anything ever again!!!!! Soooo regretting this surgery!!!!!

I'm so sorry, and it doesn't sound like everything is fine.Have they checked you for a leak? I was reading that your left arm, and shoulder have pain when there's a leak, and this can be dangerous. not saying that's what you have, but they should check. Hope things get better for you, it's not an easy journey, and can only imagine it's worse in your condition. Bless you, and hope you feel better soon!

I'm sorry you are feeling this way, but do know that a far majority of us felt exactly the same way early out. I hope you started reading this forum awhile ago and realize that most likely, what you are feeling is perfectly normal. Did you have a hiatal hernia repair during surgery? Very common to have this done, too. If you don't know, perhaps ask your ENT tomorrow. The lump feeling in your throat will go away soon.

Have you been drinking and eating smaller amounts slower? That was key for me. Also, I would change up the temperature of my liquids. But, as you have figured out from your paramedic friend, getting your liquids in at this phase is important. When you are dehydrated, it is just so difficult to do anything.

Susan, that stuck in the back of your throat feeling may be acid reflux. That is the only symptom I had when I had it. Do you take a PPI? Like omeprazole or Prilosec? When I started taking it I felt so much better. If you already are, you may need your dosage changed. I wish you the best! I feel for you!! Vomiting and nausea is soooo awful!! And that stuck feeling drives you crazy!!

I'm sorry your feeling this way, I hope everything works out for you. It's hard when you finally go through with it and then have set backs! I too had regrets but only for 2 days (I know, how nice for me) and I finally said to myself, you wanted it, you did it now deal with it and I've been doing good since 90 lbs down in 7 months only 11 were pre op! Good luck to you!

So sorry ur having such a hard time. My surgery was April 14th and things have been ruff for me as well. I can say things for me r slowly getting better each day. Our bodies r different and react differently. My daughter had surgery the same day and she's functioning as if she hasn't had surgery getting around extremely well tolerating full liquids and she's planning to try mushies in the next day or so. Me on the other hand haven't had such luck but I know we will getter soon. Hang in there I know this is hard but there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
