Just wanted to pass on some info I learned the other night eating out at Red Robin.

The kids were dying to go there the other night and prior to going I looked on line for low carb options and I found out that you can get any of thier burgers or sandwiches on a lettuce bun and side salad instead of fries, I ordered the California chicken sand and was surprised at how good this was, it was served between to thick, crispy pieces of iceberg lettuce and wrapped in paper which made it easy to eat, I ate about 1/3rd and took the rest home and the next day my wife and I split the rest for lunch and it was just as good the next day.

My husband he always lets me substitute his fries for a cup of Soup. Its always just the right amount of food for me. If I need the calories I get the clam chowder but I normally get the chicken tortilla type.

If I am hungry (rarely) I get the blta and eat some of the croissant and then take the rest off and eat the inside, turkey, bacon, lettuce Tomato and avocado, makes a good meal the next couple days too.

Excellent info! I just went there tonight and took the bun off my chicken sandwich. Good to know for next time!

We go to RR about 3x z month. Hubby always orders the same thing: a Royal Red Robin (burger with an egg and bacon), lettuc wrapped with a side salad. Also an fyi: tneir side salad is also bottomless. U can eat as much as u want, just like their fries. Hubby is a carb watcher and always orders his burgers "Protein style"

Carls Jr and In and Out also do a fabulous "protein style" buger/sandwich. Places like Burger King put the burger and veggies in a bowl and give u a fork. Not a true burger, in my opinion.

Personally I'm not a fan of lettuce wrapped burgers. A burger isn't a burger without the bun. But I know a lot of people like having the option.

Btw, I always get the Avo Cobbo salad at RR. Usually I end up tossing the leftovers after my 4th meal of it cuz I'm sick of it. I always get the dressing on the side so my leftovers aren't so soggy

RR is probably my favorite fast food. I usually get chicken tender salad with honey mustard

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
