I got sleeved 3 days ago. I had all the panic attacks and a good one about an hour before surgery. I thought about canceling too because this was my third scheduled date but I thought of the year long

I'm not sure what sorts of ideas you are looking for, but I'll take a stab at it.... First of all, CUT THE CARBS. Don't eat crackers with your tuna, they are useless nutrition-wise, will make you c

I have been craving salsa too! I was wondering if u could have some with some low fat refried Beans??? I am on soft foods. Salsa sounds so good! :)

In one of my WLS cookbooks, it suggests LF refried beans with cheese and salsa as a "meal" during the puree stage, if that helps any. :)

Yes it does sound good! I had read that on a website too! Thank u!

Today is my 2 week post op appt and I'm hoping to have this drain removed. I'm 22 lbs down and I feel great other than this freaking drain hanging outta my stomach, I don't even feel like I can workout yet...I only walk.

I cheated at my week and a half mark and paid for the next 2 days by being unable to eat or drink and being completely uncomfortable sitting, standing or laying...the worse. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I allow myself that kind of pain for pleasure.

Though I feel fine, I was hospitalized for the color of my drain but was told that the green and brown being drained was unexplainable since I had no pain, no fever, blood work was perfect and CT Scan showed no leaks or other issues...,it was a horrible.color and smell so alarms went off but hopefully now that the color has returned to safe yellow and its less than 5 ml, I need them to remove this thing so I can start living!

Check these colors and if u see them go to the ER right away...your drain should only produce red or straw yellow fluids....

I am 9 days post op today feel great and going back to work today. ? I am having trouble getting all my protein in. I can still only drink 4oz of my protein shake and I am so full. I guess this is normal I hope! 50grams has been the max for me and my surgeon wants me to get in 60-70grams a day. Any suggestions? Super excited I lost 20 lbs before surgery & since surgery 15 lbs. :)

I have my post op appointment in Tuesday so I hope to be able to return to work in Wednesday. I have been doing some work from home but look forward to going back to the office. Today is the first day that I actually feel like me! Looking forward to a nice weekend,

I had mine on April 18th, I am almost 3 weeks out and I worry that I am doing things wrong.....I have a great outside support system but felt like I needed to join here for support too.

Yes let's keep in touch!!!

Finally had my drain removed Wednesday and feeling so much better. I'm outta all my clothes already...yaay! (Kinda) I'm 2 weeks and 2 days out and 27 lbs down...having trouble gettin in liquids and protein...smh. I'm work in on it.

Oh KeeWee and WarriorBlue i'm jealous! I"m a week and a half out from surgery now (4/29) and just yesterday finally lost the Fluid weight from the hospital! Can't believe it took that long - and I had a drain in for two days in the hospital too. Didn't look like it drained that much frankly. Anyway, i'm losing now but not super fast.

No trouble getting in the Protein and Water so far, but i'm much better with something flavored than straight water. Also ice cold doesn't go down as nicely as less chilled drinks. I'm enjoying adding unflavored Protein powder to purer thinned Soups - today I had a half cup of Ivars Smoked Salmon Chowder and loved it, and somehow that half cup was just plenty!

Still, am a bit worried about going to the next stage and going over the calorie limit. I"m presently at 3-400/day until middle of next week. Good to be back on line though - I literally haven't been able to concentrate enough to go online and post with that oxycodone in my system. Wow. It completely addled my brain!

I didn't have a drain put in after the surgery. However, I must admit I'm having trouble with getting my protein and water in daily. Walking is difficult as well I get so tired quickly but I'm still working on that smh
