  1. I think you will,be fine. You probably ate too fast or too much. I did that once-- never again. If it continues , speak with your doctor.
  2. Thanks for all the great ideas. I have been making shredded chicken with low fat ricotta and spaghetti sauce and it's my favorite. Tuna salad too! I also like fat free refried beans with non fat sour cream and shredded low fat cheddar and I add spicy taco sauce for a kick. Can only eat 1/2 cup of these favorites, but they sure taste great!!
  3. Congrats! I can't wait to join you!!
  4. I used cream of mushroom or cream of chicken and put it through the blender. It worked out great for me
  5. Dsmith - Thanks! You too!!
  6. Yes. I am three weeks out and have lost 20 lbs and 18 inches! I measure my neck, bust, waist, hips, thigh, and upper arm.
  7. You can ask him about having jello, sugar free ice pops and smooth cream soups. Plus the water, decaf unsweetened ice tea, broths, and crystal light type beverages. If he says yes you can have some variety. Good luck.
  8. You can go to any support group that you want to. There are three meetings within 45 minutes of my home. Call your doctors office to get a list of groups in your area. Why will you have two weeks with NO liquids?? You should be drinking 64 oz of water and getting 60 grams of protein. Please check with your doctor.
  9. I have an appt with the NUT on June 10 but I work in New Paltz so I can't make the support meetings in Westchester. I attend meetings at Vasser Hospital once a month.
  10. Dr. Kaul did my surgery and I love him and his team. They are all wonderful. I live in Dutchess County but it was worth traveling to Westchester Medical. This surgery and recovery was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
  11. Are you getting your fluids in? What about your protein? Sometimes cottage cheese fills me up and lasts longer than the protein shakes. One day at a time!
  12. Yes. I am an open book. My boss and coworkers have been great. I was not in much pain at all. They drug you up pretty good the first 24 hours and I took some pain meds at home the first four days just to be very comfortable. Who is doing your surgery? Good luck and keep us posted.
  13. I am feeling great. I returned to work today and am a little tired but not any more than usual. Doctor took two of meds away and my blood pressure was 107/71! I am now on stage two diet and enjoying my new life. Got a lot of complements at work today and my boss had a beautiful bouquet of flowers on my desk when I arrived this morning. It's so nice to be appreciated.
  14. Sslade, call your NUT to talk about tweeking your diet.
  15. Thanks cherbear. I will try to do something else. Our five kids are all grown and out in there own, two with families of their own. I was thinking about contacting my NUT and ask her to go over the food journal. Someone today thought I was not getting enough calories during the day so I should eat bigger breakfasts or lunches to help.
  16. I am feeling really good physically and see the doctor for my two week post op on Tuesday May 13. Looking forward to the weigh in. One small problem creeping back is my late night eating. I can follow my diet all day but after 8 pm I am grazing and it scares me that I am eating calories right before bed just like before the surgery. The difference is that I eat sugar free stuff now like jello, pudding and ice pops but what happens when I can eat real food???
  17. Is there anyone left in this group? Got sleeved April 28, 2014.
  18. I live in Lagrange and am looking for diet buddies who have had the Sleeve recently. My surgery was April 28,2014 and want to following doctors instructions to the letter but need help staying on track. Anyone out there??
  19. I am feeling really good now. I am finding that I am losing weight from the head down!! My face is thinner, I have lost an inch around my neck and my bras are looser and on the next hook smaller. My belly definitely looks flatter - not flat- just flatter!! Pants fit the same. Looking forward to my weigh in on the 13th.
  20. My husband took me out to our favorite restaurants twice the week before but I followed the two day diet to a T. Good luck.
  21. Welcome! We are all in this together. Ask any questions you might have !
  22. My unjury proteins are due to come tomorrow so maybe I will try it over the weekend!
  23. That sounds sooooo good. Hope I can move to puréed foods on Tuesday when I see my surgeon!
  24. That is s wonderful! You have worked so hard!!
  25. I have my post op appointment in Tuesday so I hope to be able to return to work in Wednesday. I have been doing some work from home but look forward to going back to the office. Today is the first day that I actually feel like me! Looking forward to a nice weekend,
