So I'm on my way to the hospital for an emergency removal. After 6 years and 7 months of banding. It's a case of a second slip ( 1st was march 2011). Sad to loose my band, but looking forward to not being in constant pain.

I had my band removed, and really missed it. Despite my best efforts I really struggled and gained weight back to obese. Now I'm preop for conversion to gastric sleeve... scared, but want to move on with my life.

I already feel a great deal better with it out. The pain from the slip is gone. Now I just have surgery site pain. Having surgery at 215 pounds is so much easier than 350 pounds. I know im going to miss my band after almost 7 yrs it was a part of me. Still have to discuss my conversion options with the Dr. Thanks for the well wishes.
