Less invasive plastics?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have a total of 70 pounds to lose, and once I lose these last 35, I am wondering if my tummy "AKA--Butt in the Front" will be sagging. If so, I am not convinced that I have the energy or finances to go under the knife again. My mom suggested a new laser type procedure that she used on her thighs. (Of course, she is a size 8 and always has been...) So I was wondering if any of you have thought about something like this? Has anyone had a consultation/procedure?

Many thanks for your input,

Amy

I'm having this done on my arms. I've heard really good things and done a lot of research. If it's not too much loose skin it works great to tighten things up. I can let you know how it works on my bat wings in 3 months.

I've lost 135 lbs, so my "front butt" is a bit much for the lasers according to the consultant. She said it would help, but I wouldn't get the results I would want from it. She did not even recommend trying it. I would need surgery to get the best results... I greatly appreciated her honesty!

What is the name of this type of procedure? I'd like to learn more.

Trudyjo,I'd recommend googling cosmetic surgery in your area. I looked up "Cool Sculpting" Where they freeze fat cells in target areas to help reduce fat. The before/after pictures aren't dramatic--you have to maintaining a normal weight--but the changes are noticeable. There are also other means of tightening loose skin if I am actually able to eliminate the fat on my gut some day. (Yeah, right!)

Snochick, I'd love to see how it goes! :)

There are several types of these new treatments. I tried it and wasn't too impressed, but then I didn't do 8 treatments, either, which they recommend. Fairly pricey. I'm going for surgery when I can.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
