Shoe size?!?!

Recommended Posts

I wondered the same thing this past weekend. Was shopping at a great mall and found two pairs that I loved! Decided to wait and see what might happen to my shoe size. Too bad we can't all send our shoes to one central place and do a shoe swap! (Might be a little gross, but cheaper than all new shoes!)

Shoes size will change as will your neck circumference. You'll be amazed at how long your necklaces will become!

My children bought me an open hearts necklace for Christmas. It doesn't fit. I told them that I will wear it after surgery and never take it off! As for the shoes....I pray for one size down do that I can buy cute shoes again!

Didn't think my shoe size would continue to shrink but it has. Last spring, I bought a whole new shoe wardrobe because I went from an 8 1/2-9 wide width to an 8 regular width. Now I'm a 7-7 1/2. Some of the shoes from last year fit, and some do not.

Im pre-op, wear a size 11 shoe. I have noticed stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross carry 10, 11, 12. Also, since stores usually just stock up to a 10 I have asked if they can ORDER an 11. Nordstrom will and ship it free to your home. :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
