Hello all. I'm 6 days post op from VSG. I had my gall bladder removed as well and I think that's the pain I'm feeling. Otherwise I'm pretty good. Have decent energy, I'm getting down liquids, I've got a decent variety of full liquid options, and I'm doing my walking.

I'm happy to chat with anyone. Looking forward to my revised life, it was already wonderful!

Hi Molly, I am 11 days post op and on full liquids as well. I have been doing mostly thinned creamed Soups, thinned mashed potatoes, bites of yogurt and those God awful Protein shakes. I am definitely not getting enough Protein, working on it though. I have been adding non fat powered milk to some things for extra protein but it changes the taste. I have unflavored Protein powder I could add but I eat such a small amount of the foods that the protein never really adds up. I am drinking Isopure as well, diluted of course with G2 (yuck otherwise!!!!). What have you been doing for full liquids, looking for some new ideas...Thanks and congrats

I'm three weeks out. I'm not having any difficulty with fluids but solids are not agreeing with me at all. I'm sure it's just a little too soon. For Protein I bought this platinum hydro whey. It mixes well with nf milk and taste great with 1%. It's a hydrolized whey protein, very low in sugar and 30gr protein per serving. Then it's been sf Popsicles. I eat those things back to back.

Full liquids are getting dull quickly. I enjoy my sugar free Popsicles. I finally made it to the required intake of 64oz, most days I've been under. Protein is difficult for me as well. I used to like the GNC strawberry whey and now not so much. But I used to add frozen fruit, spinach, and coconut oil. So that's probably the issue, it's bland right now. I added ice tonight and it was better. I may have to add coconut milk to the skim milk for flavor.

I enjoy the light vanilla yogurt, sugar free puddings, and broth. I've tried the thinned down creamed soups strained. I would rather just broth. Cream of what isn't bad.

It's funny how one little yogurt lasts 3 days :)

Total side note, all the constant ads and pictures of food on TV and the internet are really obnoxious and annoying. I don't generally watch tv so I've increased my exposure and of course my sensitivity to it has increased.

I love Popsicles :)

Are you on puréed solids or actually small bites? I saw a website, theworldaccordingtoeggface.com and she posts some purée recipes and ideas. I haven't checked them out yet since I'm not there but maybe you'll find it helpful.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
