try eating meat only at night for dinner. I kind of do the liquid thing for Breakfast, mushies at night. and regular food for dinner. I just have to remember to eat very small bites and chew a lot! I'm like you that I don't want an unfill but PBing is an everyday occurance.

I hit another '9' number!!! I love to see those!

Johanna - I havn't even tried a sit up yet. I have been walking and I have been waiting for my girls to start school to go back to Pilaties/yoga classes. I got a little set back when I screwed up my shoulder but after Labor day I'm heading back to class. I'm sure it going to be shocking how weak I am.

I quit working out 6 months ago... about the time I hit my rock bottom in self esteem and accepted the fact I was going to be obese forever. Now that I have my band I am a lot more motivated in the gym because I feel like this time its actually going to work!

At the same time I think it makes my scale not move much, but my body is changing so I know it works. Its just so hard when you are focused so much on the number on the scale. Anyone else feeling this way about using weights?

On a happy note my husband hooked me up with a friend of his who is a personal trainer. I am super excited. This dude is HUGE and is a professional body builder. He is really soft spoken and nice though, so I think it will be good. He has all kinds of training and has another client who has lost 300 lbs with his lap band.

Thank you everyone!

jo- I think the weak muscles are because they cut through them in several different places.....I have the same problem.

Anyone notice that their stomach muscles are SOOOO WEAK??? Before surgery I could do inclined situps, after surgery I can barely do one on a flat mat! I have been doing crunches on the ball to try to work the strength back up! It is quite the uphill battle though.

Next, I get stuck last night on soup!!! Granted it was escarole Soup with mini meatballs and pastina - but seriously! I was heaving and hiccupping for an HOUR! I think it was the meatballs. I get stuck everytime I eat meat or grilled chicken. Anyone else with this? I am practically going vegetarian and not by choice. I can only deal with tofu, Beans, tuna with lots of vinegar and mayo to make it liquidy, some eggs, some soft fish, and chicken if it's mushed up or in sauce. I can't eat any solid meat at all or I am stuck for a long time. I am finally losing more weight so I"m not willing to get unfilled. I think it's just the price I have to pay to get to goal!

This is a little scary, how long has it been since your fill? You don't want to risk losing your band so if this does not go away soon you may want to consider a very small unfill. I am the also filled pretty tight right now and have made some bad choices and had some stuck episode this week so today i'm doing liquids only to see if it improves. I don't want to risk losing my precious band!!!!!!! I love the little guy.:)

Third fill today, official weigh in is 219, from 272 at initial consult in April. I'm up to 6.2 cc in a VG band.

Doc says I should be near goal by the end of the year :)

Everybody's doing soooo great!!!

I'm so frustrated. I've been stuck for a while and need another fill. Everybody seems to be able to get in for fills so easily, my Doc is 6 WEEKS out. I have an appointment for Sept 24th, but REALLY need to go in earlier! I guess I'll just keep trying for a cancellation, just tired of being hungry.

Ragdoll - I think it may be a possiblity of the tight thing. I am getting down my Protein Drinks and mushies. I want to hang in there as long as I can though. Thanks though for your good advise. I'll just hope it gets better. I know that I can't go forever though on a liquid diet. I dream of a hamburger or how about a filet mignon. Well lets face it - it's too many of those that got me in this mess in the first place. I stayed away from frosties today though. I was a good girl today.

Geez I just realized I got a little carried away with the word "though" in my last post. I slid about 4 of them in.

Sue 11 - You are doing great. Try not to get frustrated. Take a look at your ticker. That's a heck of a lot of progress it a very short time. You should be so proud. I know it's hard. Before this last fill, I didn't think I could go much longer on willpower alone. Hang in there.

Hello all,

I went to the "Fillin Station" and had my 3rd fill today. I was sad to see that I gained 3 pds and had to change the weight on my signature from 203 to 206. The good news is that I had a fill and I have not been hungry all day! This is the first time that I havn't been hungry in along time. I will go home and have some broth or some sugar free pops for dinner. I am on liquids for 24 hours and this is the first time that I feel like it won't be any problem.

Hopefully this fill will be the one that works. I have been hovering around onderland for too long. I was getting discouraged.

I now have 2.4cc in my 4cc band.

Keeping my toes crossed.

Blessings, Weazer

Well, I finally got to Linens n things and bought a scale. I am so discouraged. Darn but I gained 4 pounds since Sunday. (although I weighed myself in the am on Sunday, and tonight was after dinner, after eating and drinking my 64 ozs for the day, so maybe that would account for a pound or two? Bummer, I was so close to onderland (200) on sunday. Oh well, back to the grind. Funny, I really thought it would have gone down seeing as how I started on the eliptical again on Monday. Oh well, thanks for listening.

Cindy

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
