Hey Susan,

Tomorrow is my big day also. I decided to come on to work today, I thought it would help to make the time go faster. I dont know if it is working, all I can think about is tomorrow. The hospital just called, I am to check in at 7:30 AM. It hit me..... this is really happening. I have just been dreaming about it and wanting it for so long. This is better than Christmas. Good Luck Susan, we will have to keep in touch and compare notes.

Good luck to you Laura! It's exciting isn't it???? Today is like christmas for me because after being on cottage cheese and yogurt for 2 weeks, I am on Clear Liquids today which allows me to have broth and POPSICLES and JUICE!!!! Heaven.

Laura check in on this thread when you are able and so will I!

"bras without hardwire", did you ever have an underwire poke you in the chin? I was at a friend's house with several friends there and while sitting around talking (after several glasses of wine) something was poking me in the chin. It came right up the neckline of my shirt! We all got a great laugh out of that one. Thank goodness it didn't happen at work or in a restaurant, or just walking down the street!

That is hysterical.....I had the wire poking me under my armpit while at work but not in the chin! At least you had fun with it! These stories are so funny. What a great way to say some of the things that deep down really hurt us but now we can share and laugh.....its kind of free-ing!

Good luck to all of us May Flowers

23. (?) I want to be able to ride Roller Coasters with my family.

We have annual passes to Universal, and although I can ride some, I can't ride the best ones. They have "special" seats for the bigger riders, but how embarassing is that? I stopped riding and I always check about weight restrictions, etc, before I get on them.

Good luck to those getting "banded" tomorrow! My thoughts and prayers will be with you!!!!

I just had my pre-surgical testing, which included an upper GI test . I felt really yucky afterward and ended up messing up my clothes (I won't go into detail!) So, I just thought of another reason to lose the weight - 25. In case of emergency, I want to be able to go into a normal sized clothing store and buy whatever I need. And one more - 26. When I go on vacation and forget to pack something, again to be able to go into a store and not have to worry if they will have something in my size!

I am hoping to become a May bandster! I spoke with my insurance company BCBS Federal TX today and they received the information from my drs office and it is under review. My drs office said they generally get approvals within a week from my insurance company. I am still praying like crazy to get a date established soon so I can stop worrying about "planning" things toward the end of the month.

Congratts to all of you who have received approval and good luck!

I am looking forward to:

-Shopping in "normal" stores. Avenue gets OLD!

-Having normal looking backs of my knees (odd I know)

-Doing things with my kids without guilt or worry that I will injure myself or get too tired.

-Feeling good about myself

-riding dirt bikes and my dh's motorcycle

-being able to go go more than 2 minutes on a stairmaster without stopping

-being able to use step stools and chairs without worrying they will break

so many more!

Hey, I have another one.. I want to be able to buy a 'girlie' souvenier t-shirt when I go to theme parks, carnivals, shows, etc... instead of boxy tee shirts because those are the only ones that fit.

Oh amen to that! Last year at our family get together, we had professional pictures made on the beach. There was the family and then there was me, the beach ball! :think When I lose this weight, I'm gonna pay for the sitting for us to have them made again! :clap2:

nimbelbean -- thanks for making the May chart -- you know when first saw it, it quietly reminded me that we are so not alone -- I don't know if anyone else feels this way but this whole journey thus far has really been about so much more than food -- I find myself looking for and appreciating support much more than I ever thought I needed...and much more than I ever thought possible -- this forum has really been a God send for me -- knowledge really is power.

to all you May 2nds out there best wishes & be well.... keep us posted :clap2:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
