I understand why you are scared. I think that everything is going to turn out ok. I would think that they wouldn't even attempt to put the same amount that they did the last time, so everything should be ok. I am crossing my fingers, praying...you get the idea.

I go in for my follow up on Thursday. I think my fill finally decided to really kick in this past weekend. I can still eat pretty much anything, but not nearly as much as I could eat last week.

I really wish that the junk food was harder to eat. It doesn't make sense that the food that is good for you is harder to eat than the junk.

amen, on the junk food.

my fill went ok today: liquids all day, soft foods tonight. still feeling ok. i let them know i was scared and they seemed to take that into consideration.

i also got some of the new band-specific Vitamins. i was going to give them a try.

how is everyone else?

Well my fill turned into an unfill today. I wasn't able to keep anything down yesterday or today so I had to go in and have some removed. I feel much better.

I am so sorry Carrie. I know that has to be disappointing. I am glad that you feel better though.

Carrie - I am glad you are feeling better. Being too tight sucks.

Slim - berry. i tried watermelon and berry and the berry was much more palatable.

I have been using Centrum adult chewables. They are a disgusting orange. It is hard to mask the taste of Vitamins.< /div>

I have been taking the kid's gummies vitamins at the adult dose. but they say these vitamins are better and they aren't too bad.

fill is still going ok. i feel more restriction but not TOO TIGHT so that is good.

I am glad that your fill is doing ok. You and Carrie have been through quite a bit with your fills.

I will have try those vitamins. I remember them giving me a sample of them at the pre-op class.

I wish I had been able to find the generic ones. At the time that I bought them, my wallyworld didn't have the generic kind. Thankfully, I had a $3 coupon for the big bottle of Centrum.< /p>

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
