I'm almost 5 weeks out and I just started my soft food stage last Sunday. I keep getting a strong hunger feeling in my stomach. I feel like i need to eat every 2-2 1/2 hours. I know it's not acid and it seems to only feel better when I eat. I realized I wasn't actually eating enough according to my drs goals but, I still feel like I'm over eating. Today, I had a small banana, a few slices of turkey and a piece of cheese, a Protein Shake, 1/4 cup refried Beans, and a string cheese. I feel like in pigging out. Is this normal? Am I eating too much?

I'm getting close to my 64oz goal. I hover around 50-60 oz.

I understand. I am 6 weeks out and fighting hunger all the time. I get about 50-60 oz of Water too. Take Zantac and Prilosec so I don't think it is acid. Don't know what to do. Help!

I'm almost 4 months out and I told my NUT and PA that I feel hunger and they said that I shouldn't be. They said its probably gastritis and increased my Prilosec to twice daily and said if that doesn't work that they could put me on a drug called Carafate. I don't think that I will go on the Carafate but it is an option.

I am 7 weeks out and have no food restrictions ( I am choosing to eat low carb because I feel so much better when I do and that way I have no problem meeting my daily Protein requirement). I exercise every day. I have personal training for an hour twice per week, I walk 4 miles at about 3.5-4.0 mph twice per week, I do Bikram yoga for 90 minutes twice per week and on my "off" day, I walk at an easy pace on a flat route for about 30-40 minutes. I have been working out like this for almost a month. Lately, I have found myself getting hungry about every 3 hours (instead of 5 or 6 hours). My personal trainer seems to think it it my body's way of telling me I need more fuel to keep up with the exercise. My NUT says to stay between 600-800 cals per day. the only issue is, depending on the day, sometimes I am burning more calories in my workout than I even eat. My weight loss is not super fast. I have lost 12 pounds in the last 4 weeks (NOT complaining-- I know that is good-- just saying I am not losing weight blazing fast considering how little I eat and how much I exercise). Anyway-- I have not decided if I am going to allow myself a little more food or if I am just going to tough it out. Feedback is welcome.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
