How long do you wait to drink after eating?

Recommended Posts

I try to do 15 min either side but sometimes life just doesn't work out that way. That, or I get really thirsty and take a little sip after a meal.

I drink up until I eat, but find I don't want to drink again until an hour afterwards. It just feels gross most of the time and eating/drinking at the same time is unpleasant. Soup isn't fun anymore either (have to drink the liquid first then eat the solids). I would have thought this would be gone by now (6 1/2 months out), but it's not. Oh well, maybe that's a good thing.

That should go away. I don't have a problem eating soup (liquid and contents together).

I find that I have to set the timer on my phone to show when it's ok to eat or drink again.

I don't really worry about if I drank before I eat, but I wait 30 minutes (approximately) after I eat to drink. If I am super thirsty I will take a couple sips, but otherwise wait 30 minutes after eating.

I can drink up until the time I start eating and nothing for 30 minutes afterwards. Doctor's orders, I've been doing this for almost four years.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
