Hi all. Haven't been on in a while. Partially cause I'm having a hard time and feel like a failure. I have an apt coming up with my therapist to work know stuff.

Anyways, here is a progress pic.

HW 332 Dos 306 CW 229 height 5'8". Down 103lbs! Went from 26/28 to 16. Slow but sure i'll get there!

What an accomplishment ..over 100 pounds ..u look great so keep up with the program. It is good that I see this success since I had a bad day myself,

103lbs!!!! You must be sooo proud! I'm sorry your having a tough time....think of the great progress you have made. Keep it up! Your an inspiration to me, surgery in 6 days! Thanks for sharing.

100 pounds is a lot! Congrats! Keep the faith. I haven't had the surgery yet, but what I have learned is that everyone is different. As long as you are making progress...celebrate! :D

Thank you all! I appreciate the kind words.

I have come a long way and I need to remember that. everyone journey is very different for sure!

The fact that I can play with my 3, almost 4 year old and our run her now is something to be so happy over ;-).

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
