I need some support :cry I'm tired (kids were fussy all night), I have a sinus headache and I've gained 2 lbs in 2 days... I want OFF this low carb/ high Protein crab and I want some ice cream! My co-worker brought in donuts... so while everyone went to the breakroom to laugh and joke and eat, I sat in my cube feeling sorry for myself. I'll never make it through today without eating something bad :think

Maybe your best bet would be to choose a different eating plan....

If low carb is truly that difficult for you - you may want to go with a more balanced plan.

Go get some tuna & Whole Wheat Crackers - and step away from the donuts!

Good Luck!!

**Oh - and as for gaining the 2 lbs - I would assume for the moment that you are retaining Water. lunch meats are notoriously full of salt. Been eating ham? That would do it.

Unless you have eaten 7000 calories MORE than you need to keep breathing during the last two days - you haven't gained two pounds.

Maybe weighing yourself every day isn't recommended for you, either...

Hugs!

If you're trying to maintain a low carb diet, eat something good but not high in carbs.

If you're craving ice cream, have some whipped cream instead. Blend whipped cream with cream cheese and freeze it in little patties - very good. You can add extracts (mint, lemon, etc) or cocoa powder + splenda for some additional flavor.

Lowcarb diets for women are notoriuos for their long stalls/plateaus, especiall around weeks 3, and then around month 6.

shake it off, look to the future skinny you, and deal with it. I'm not trying to be harsh, but attitude is a LOT of it. Everytime I was subjected to one of those situations, and made it through, I was proud of myself, and felt so good about myself, it gave me strength to do it the next time. You can do it! If I, the king of slackers could succeed, so can you.

2 years post op

210 pounds lost and totally at goal

Life is so good!

Hey I know a good recipe that will feel decadent, lol. blueberries, cream cheese, splenda and just a little cinnamom, then nuke it until every thing can be blended together. Yum, may make you feel like you have something as good as a donut.

Kyn......if you are an ice cream lover, I'll tell you something so good it tastes illegal. Do you by any chance own one of those wonderful little ice cream makers (the kind that you put the bucket in your frig freezer for 8-12 hrs, then pour your ice cream mix in it, and it turns either by hand or by electric every 5 min, and then in about 20 min you have ice cream)....anyhow back to my story. If you you have one of these freezers....pour a carton of Micellar Milk or a 2-cup mixture of good Protein mixed up (Cookies and Cream Matrix is great1!)......and make you some great hi Protein, low cal, low carb ice cream!!

I got my Donvier freezer from eBay for about $14....they come in quart and pint sizes. Great gift for yourself (take it and hide in your room!!)

If you need a quick fix of something sweet, try Atkins ice cream, I personally really like it and it has no sugar! Also good and only 150cal is a soft cone from mcdonalds. This is one of my favorite treats for myself, when everyone around me is eating something yummy that is way out of my calorie range I treat myself to something yummy for anywhere under 200cal. I also agree that low carb is not for everyone. It is only important that you eat enough protien, everything else can be whatever you want, fruit veggies the occasional desert. There are whole cookbooks devoted to sweets (including chacolates) that are for diabetics. They are sugar free and decadent!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
