I threw up in my sleep :(

Recommended Posts

So it's been a month since surgery and I can't complain besides not being able to go to the bathroom. So like everyone who recommended I bought milk of magnesia. I had it 2 weeks ago and I gagged horribly. But it did help using the bathroom. 2 nights ago I took it before I went to bed since I am at work and school all day. Once again I gagged washed my teeth and the taste went away. This night I had nightmares about food. I was eating lots of pizza(my favorite) and kept telling myself wow this is not hurting my sleeve.. Then I started eating lots and lots of sweets. OMG they all tasted sooo good.. I can't remember exactly the last dream but I woke up because I almost chocked on my throw up.. It was Water but I thought I was going to die. It only happened that night. Do you guys think this is dangerous? Should I be worried? Could it be from milk of magnesia?

if u have acid reflux or "throw up" while laying down. Just means you ate and went to sleep to fast.. At least i found that was the only time i had the issue. So when you eat wait 2-3 hours before bed... then it should happen. Its Yucky! Thank god only happened 3 times to me before i smartened up..

That's the acid reflux. When you eat or drink anything, wait a couple of hours before you lie down.

Agree with above re: not lying down shortly after eating/drinking.

I don't like the chalky taste of MOM so I use Perdiem tablets--two at night and I get results by morning.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
