First...congratulations!!!!

Second...Whose Goal? Reason I bring it up, is that I have had, met, and surpassed goals....

I asked my Dr. numerous times what happens when I reach MY Goal....

He explained to me that this is not a diet that I can turn on/off, decide to go back, etc...it is a permanent lifestyle change...with a new permanent way of eating....therefore, as long as I stay within that lifestyle, my body will continue to loose and then Stop when it reaches what it considers to be where it should be....

And that is exactly what has happened...I have not gained, nor lost weight in 2 years....and I continue living this new life along with it's new habits...I cannot go backwards, gain weight again, etc, unless the band should change...get Fluid taken out for example....

Again, congratulations....

Thank you all so much for your kind comments it means so much to me. No I am not offended at all by your comment 2muchfun if it wasn't for you and CG and Missy I would have never got this far, I still have my struggles, but it is all worth it. B-52 my goal was 60kgs and a normal BMI I agree this for life, so I hope I do stabilize naturally, but one thing for sure if you listen to the band over eating is not a possibility. Thank you all once again for all the support.

"One thing for sure if you listen to the band over eating is not a possibility."

AMEN to that!!! Music to my ears....early on, from veterans that were here and long gone...that was their mantra..."Learn to listen to your band"

My Dr. would say that to me all the time also....

I am so very happy today, I started this journey on the 21st March 2013 and today I reached my goal weight of 60kgs. I now look in the mirror every morning and I just love what I see.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
